    Hi !

A couple of weeks back, I read somewhere of a card that records the actual signal from the ariel, cable, or satelite. It records the original signal to the hard drive just as you would rip a dvd, preserving the actual data.

Has anyone heard of such a card. Does anyone own or has used this card. If such a card is available would it not be the best.

    Thanks in advance !

  3. Hey Hoola_loop
When your capturing from satellite are you capturing at DVD quality, at what Mbit and do you use CBR or VBR. Hope you dont mind all the questions I have an ATI card and have been trying different settings and just wondering what others were using. To get 2 hours on a DVD+r wondering what the highest CBR could be with a quality settting of 100.
    Thanks
