  2. Hi,

I find TMPGenc to be the best for VCD. It gives great quality, and it is free.
CCE gives great quality is extremely fast, but very expensive. CCE is fantastic for SVCD/MPEG2 encoding.

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....NOT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

If you want only VCD, general consensus is that TMPGEnc is the better MPEG1 encoder.

Give Tmpgenc 2.57 a try either 2 pass or the CQ modes. Using High Quality..........the results are worth waiting for.

Forget CCE unless you have a spare $1800 US

    also these companies use TMPgenc

TMPGEnc has already been used for various solutions follows.
    - Creating MPEG data included in a Game for Sony(R) PlayStation2(R)
    - Creating MPEG data included in a Game for Microsoft(R) X-BOX(R)
    - Creating MPEG data included in a Game for Nintendo(R) GameCube(R)
    - Creating MPEG data included in a Game for SEGA(R) DreamCast(R)
    - For DVD-Video authoring
