this is a prob I had forever with my 7500!

open the sound (volume, in the task-bar by the clock in win 2000)properties, click the "recording" button, and leave it open.

when you launch the capture software (I am assuming you are using the "TV" function that came with the AIW7500) make sure the checked box in the recording properties tab stays checked under LINE IN.

Usually, it switches to something else when you launch the software. click on the correct box (LINE IN, if that is where your sound is coming in) and then hit capture (and take a peek again to make sure it didn't switch on you.

From now on, always check this box AFTER you launch TV. I never found a way around this, but it works fine for me, so i just do it.
