  3. Or another way is to record from your PC using the headphone socket to Tape or MD, then record back through line in, using the many free Wave recording applications available (CDEX is good), then you can encode to whatever format you want...

    Try (for the heck of it) Winamp's "Disk Writer" plugin for the output. This is found under Preferences --> Plugins --> Output. Configure the directory you want the file saved in, then hit "play" to convert.

    JUST MAKE SURE TO SET IT BACK WHEN YOU'RE DONE, OTHERWISE EVERY FILE PLAYED WILL BE "WRITTEN" INSTEAD!

    And there is a chance that it can't convert MIDI --> WAV, but give it a try. It's worked for almost every format it plays that I've tried. It's made especially to do mp3 --> WAV conversions, but should work for that too (I hope)...
