  1. Hi

I created a movie for VCD. I cut the movie in 2 in order to have them 2 CDs. I then procced to burn the first CD. At the end of the movie I included 4 mores small files: 2 clips from the original movies and 2 more from my pesonal recordings. I did that to see if everything will play in secuence in de VCD. However the last to clips give warnings in the software I used to burn the CD.

I burn it anyway (since it allowed me). Now the CD is not recognized by the DVD players.

My questinon is: The fact that the two final files gave me warnings in the burning software can cause that all the VCD will be incompatible with DVD players???? The movie and the other two files had no problem.

    Thx

Looks that way does it not , run them through TMPGEnc and make them all VCD's Mpeg compliant

  3. So, you are telling me that if you have 5 files in the VCD disk and just two (small) of them are not compatible (I am not sure they are not compatible since the software says that "they may not be" as a warning) all the VCD becomes a non-compatible for DVD players?

  4. It really depends on the VCD player. I have an Apex which reads just about anything, so there's a good chance your disc may play in another standalone player. If they don't, convert those small files with TMPGEnc first.

I have never added any non compliant files, if you get a warning that they "Might be" that's because it has found something wrong with them. Its telling you that not all DVD players will play non compliant mpeg's.

I would say that the authoring program has made a XVCD because of your none compliant files you added, your DVD player will not see it as a VCD
