Checked the faq's and the guides, didn't see this addressed exactly, so I'll pose the question here.

Using Nero 5.5.7.2

I know it can be done - I've done it before. But I recently tried another that didn't quite work out right. Here's the deal:

I've got a little over 200 jpgs of various sizes, and approx. 20 short (average 1 min.) mpgs. I set them up in the order I want them to play in (4 jpgs, then 1st movie, then a few more jpgs, another movie, etc...)

Pop this disk in the ol' dvd player, sees as a cd, and it plays all the movies one right after the other in order, then starts up again as a vcd and plays in the correct mixed mode of jpgs sprinkled w/mpgs that I had originally intended. Strange.

So I looked at my .nrv file, and the track listing looks like this:

1/1 title.jpg
1/2 title2.jpg
1/3 firstphoto.jpg
1/4 secondphoto.jpg
2 firstmovie
1/5 thirdphoto.jpg
etc...

Namely, the mpgs are listed differently in the track listing compared to the jpgs. Not sure if it makes a difference, but the jpgs are set for 7 seconds of pause, the mpgs have zero seconds of pause.

Any hints as to what that is all about?

Thanks all.
