    alright people!

I've managed to convert 3 divx's to SVCD with no problem what so ever, but other than thouse ones i'm having problems with the sound sync....

here are my settings (the divx is 25fps)

first i'm loading the divx into virtual dub ripping the wav from the divx using full processing mode & changing the wav to 44.1k instead of 48k then saving the wav.

then i'm moving onto TMPGEnc with these settings

    i'm creating a Pal SVCD
    constant quality 80
    max bitrate 2000
    min bitrate 300
    full screen (keep aspect ratio)

after this has encoded i'm using the mpeg tools to cut it into 2 to burn to disk.

using the above settings i have made 3 SVCD's which are good quality with sound sync'd perfectly but resently a couple have turned out with bad lip sync.... has anyone got any idea's???

i'm also having problems converting NTSC 23.976fps divx's to Pal 25fps SVCD.

for these i'm first ripping the wav from the divx in virtual dub, then using Besweet to convert the wav to 25fps. from here i'm encoding with TMPGEnc as before to a pal 25fps SVCD but the sound doesn't sync?

i've also tried the above but encoding the video only and then multiplexing the audio & video together but it give some kind of error that i cant remember?

has anyone got any ideas where i'm going wrong??? BTW i'm a n00b

    thanks for any help

  3. Your method seemed to be OK, since you already converted three perfectly-synched SVCDs. Your problem might be player related. Some SVCDs play perfect on one player yet out of synch on the other. But I am nor sure. The only suggestion I have is that you encode video and audio separately, then use bbMpeg to mux and cut your files.

  4. with the lip sync thing (don't know if you do this anyway) setting on the advanced bit of tmpgenc to do not do frame rate conversion
