Had a two part question: first off, I tape classes here at my school using a Canon GL1. The quality is great but only one hour on a $5 tape is getting a little old. Was wondering if anyone had tried capturing directly to a firewire hard drive hooked into the camera. Any caveats?
Also, is this something to where I can buy a housing for a firewire drive and a separate IDE drive and make my own?
Thanks in advance!
