Started using cce-finally-(so much faster&better quality)but my mates dvd can only play vcd - i then took these steps:
Got TMPG
MPEG TOOLS
Simple Multi-Plex
Added my new svcd (part1) in both video&audio
Changed the type to MPEG Video-CD
Pressed run then burned it as a vcd
What is it actally doing - cause i couldnt see any different it picture quality?
Plus what version(s) of divx does cce 2.50 with dvd2svcd handle?
Thanks for your help

What you are doing is changing the multiplexing of the stream, which does not actually affect the encoding but changes the way the video and audio packets are packed and synchronized to each other. What you've done is actually a fairly well-known trick at this point to get some DVD players to play SVCD which wouldn't otherwise, so as long as it looks OK I would say you don't have anything to worry about.

I personally always install DivX 3.11 Alpha then 5.02 as it solves some playback problems for items compressed using the older 3 series codecs.
