  1. I used Nero to burn VCD's and they always freeze up sometimes a few seconds in then sometimes a few minutes in. I'm playing them on a Daewoo 5800 player. Any ideal what I'm doing wrong? Also in some other posts I saw you can check for bad frames with Vdub, I must be overlooking it but I can't find scan for bad frames anywhere. I tried under video. Do I need some kind of plug in for it?

    Thanks

  2. I am assuming that during capture, you did not lose frames or have a minimal number of frames lost.

Normally, when you encounter this problem upon playback, it is highly likely that the PLAYER is havving some difficulty in reading the CD.

The only suggestion I have is to make sure you burn at a speen that is compatible with your CD. If CD has a maximum of 24X then burn only at 24X or preferably, LOWER speed, say 16X.

I hope this solves your playback problem.

    Cheers

  3. Another problem might be the bitrate the movies were encoded with, or if the are a non-compliant VCD.
Do you know the max bitrate of your player? Or if it accepts XVCD?

  4. I'm new at this so does this sound right for the bitrate. Dvd player 10bit. I looked at the movie it was 3 something. This was just a small clip I download to see if it would work. Does it matter what brand of cd-r you use I used Memorex? Also my cd burner is only 4x will that matter if the cd is a 16x or 24x not sure what my cdr's are?
