I'm going to get a laptop(only 500 mhz) and would like to hook up my a03 to it, I've seen a couple of sites that have cases that convert the a03 3.5in. 40pin ide to a firewire but I don't know if the 500mhz would be fast enough for the firewire.I would like to just convert the 3.5in. 40 pin ide on the a03 to a 44pin ide 2.5in. for laptop and just plug it in there but I'm not sure if that is what the cd-rom on a laptop has for a connection (I know the hd on a laptop is the 44pin 2.5in. ide) but is the cd-rom also a 44pin..I've already found a adapter cable.http://www.cablesonline.net/940pinto44pi.html but will this work?Please help with any answers,,thanks in advance

firewire would be a better choice IMO ... 500mhz is fine ... ive run firewire devices on a 500pIII many times ..
