  1. i have successfully managed to hook my tv to my pc to play divx, vcd and svcd with some great help from the links and people at this site. thanks to all.

i would now like to extend this to another television but need advice on the best approach.

Will i suffer and degradation in sound or picture quality if i ust run a really long set of wires from my pc to the second tv? (ie about 20 metres)

Anyone know where i can buy cables of that length in the UK?

Secondly are any of the wireless solutions any good? Can anyone suggest some products I should investigate?

    thanks

  2. Check this out:

I haven't had need of it myself, but it looks like a novel solution.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  3. 20 metres cable for audio is no problem... for video..use high quality S-videocable..(expensive..and tv MUST SUPPORT THIS.)

If no S-video use a standard airial 75 ohms (white) cable used for sattelite dish to tuner cable and solder 2 tulip plugs or a tulip and a scart on it. Video will degrade a little..but tv size may be smaller also...

wireless solutions are all crap...they don't work..or they do, but don't 2 month later...unless you get into really fancy and expensive systems.

Cable can be bought at any sattelite shop or elictronic parts shop.

    greetz.
