    Newbee needs help. I have finally downloaded my first movie file, but don't seem to know what format its in, how can I know if it's mpeg, avi etc. file properties says bin file, I will like to burn file as a svcd so I can play back on standalone. thanks

  2. If the file extension is .bin (i.e. xxxxxx.bin) then you probably need a .cue file to go with it. .bin & .cue files work with programmes like CDRwin, CDRDAO, etc.

    You will need to download the .cue file that goes with the .bin file you downloaded. The filename will be the same. Only the extension is .cue instead of .bin. .cue files are small and download in less than a second.

    Put both .bin & .cue file in the same directory. Then use CDRwin (or any burning programme that accepts bin & cue files) to burn the disc.

    Usually files downloaded in bin & cue form don't need any further tweaking. Just burn & play.
