newbee Hi8---analog to digital conversion ..plz help

Hi all i have been reading theses forums alittle and other info around the web...I am-- a noob for trying to figure this out so im looking to you all the masters for some assitance. its hard for me to type since i had A spinal cord injury 3 months ago....So all the help is apprciated.


My need to convert my hi8 analog tapes to digital to then burn to dvd. i have a HI 8- ccd trv67 video camera,
So i need convert the analog tapes to digital then i can burn to dvd.
1--i have pretty newer/ good pc , and also 3 mac's one is an imac and also 2 macbook pros. So my questions is .

which to use..?

1-someone mentioned once a panasonic dvd recorder/burner--Where i hook up camcorder to it?
Yet i dont know which model can do thisl/?? or is it good qualility?

2- So i think i can use an AVDC 110 plugged into my camcorder then to my computer for tansfer. then in computer then burn to disc dvd. thur movie maker either win 7 on PC or imovie on my mac...

3rd- question or is the the avdc 300 better? 110 or 300-=so will either work with good transfer quaility?

4th or an all in wonder video card has anyone tryed this way??
