  3. Yes, there is an old text file that tells you how to make your own descrambler for a few bucks only by purchasing everything you need at Radio Shack. Plus you can also go to any search engine and type in cable descrambler and I'm sure you'll find plenty of sites. I see ads all the time on, ummm, various free software pages, right next to the porn popups. Also type that in the search field for Kazaa or whatever P2P you are using, I'm sure alot of text files will come up.

  5. I have heard that some PC tv tuner cards have 3rd party software made for certain chipsets to allow cable descrambling.

I do not the chipsets cuz i dont go in that much detail but if anyone knows, would a geforce 4 ti 4600 or a pinnacle tv tuner card be able to descramble with these programs that are out there.

They aint too hard to find as i had 3 a long time ago, its just that most of them are in foreign language

  6. good god. the descrambling software for tv cards suck, well for ntsc anyhow.. and the 'make your own cable descrambler' sucks.. there are places you can buy cable descramblers on the net, and its legal.. as long as you notify your cable company that you are using your own box.. which they wouldnt know, if you didnt tell them.. well for analog anyhow.. heh

I'm not sure if this is considered warez or not, but a useful link to software along this line is http://exotv.de/lan/eng/index.htm
It has a program called ExoTV which supposedly works as a decoder... However, I have not been able to get it to work on an ATI Radeon 7500 AIW. Hope it helps someone...
I'd have a better signature if I knew how to spell my name.

  8. You guys must not have email addresses! Every week or so I get a spam about cable descramblers. These are analogue only (the baseband sync supression type)---not digital. I usually delete them, but if I get another one, I'll post the url (unless this is violation of forum rules).
