I'm trying to use "disc copy" with Nero to make a copy of an S-VCD. I have no problem getting an image file read and written.

However, when I put in a CD-R for buring (a regular 700MB blank), I get an error message saying that the capacity is too small and to insert a medium with larger storage. The original S-VCD IS a 700MB disc but when I checked the image file written, it was about 810MB!

Am I missing something here? Is there a setting in Nero which enables a disc copy with a capacity this large?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Did you enable "Overburning"?

You may need to cut out the credits if you have some out. That way you probably could fit that SVCD onto that CD-R.

  5. There shouldn't be any need to overburn, nor cut. I have no idea what it is your doing, but an 810 meg SVCD image should fit onto an 80 minute CDR. Only thing I can think of is to make sure you have Disk-at-once selected when burning the image rather then track-at-once

  6. for VCD, I thought 808MB is a Max, 10mb or so more overburn is required.

  7. 1.All you have to do is copy the SVCD files to your desktop off of the SVCD that you want to copy.

2.Then open up nero and use the wizard to create a new SVCD.

3.Then add the video file that you copied to your desktop from the SVCD(its in one of the 4 or 5 folders that you copied, can't remember what it called exactly) to the new SVCD project that you have up.

    4.Then hit record.

    Enjoy!

  8. Don't listen to those guys who say crop the movie, how the heck do you think the movie was burned to the CD-R in the first place!

  9. That is not how you copy a S/VCD.

For god's sake, just use the "copy CD" function on your burning proggy and turn on "overburning" (if you image is 810 MB, there will be a small amount of overburning required). CloneCD is highly recommended.

Also with regards to capacity, make an image of an 80 min audio CD. What is it's size? That should be an informative exercise.

    Regards.
