  1. I captured my video at 720x480 MPEG2 to make DVD's. I then imported my video into SpruceUP. Then I burned the video using Prassi Primo. I captured the audio at 48KHz stereo. But after I burn the disc and play it in my DVD player I only get soung out of the left speaker. Shouldnt I be getting sound out of the left and right?

  2. I'm guessing that your capture card captures in mono, like the ATI TV Wonder VE. You can reencode the audio through tmpg or any audio converter to "dual channel" and that will basically take the mono channel and put it through both speakers. I could be wrong, as more details regarding the source would be helpful

  3. This is my setup
Captured MPEG2 at 720x480 for DVD
ATI All in Wonder Radeon 8500
    SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum EX
    Pent 4 1.8
    256 ram
    80 gig hard drive
I am actually capturing video straight off of my DTV Satellite. Im using an S-video cable from the satellite reciever to the video card, and RCA jacks from the reciever to the sound card. Im using the ATI software MMC 7.7 to capture the audio at 48mhz stereo and the video at 720x480. I can play my captured video back on my PC and it comes through both speakers, but when I play it on my standalone DVD player I only get mono. After I captured the video, I used TMPGE to edit the commercials, then imported it into SpruceUp. When I simulate in SpruceUp, it plays it in stereo. Then I used Prassi Primo to burn. Hope this helps.

  4. Well it ended up being a setting with my stereo reciever. It was stereo the whole time. I guess you live and learn.
