Out Of Sync audio - please help! TIA!

I am using Ulead Video Studio 5.0 but am having problems with capturing.
I have an AverMedia TV Studio capture card but when I capture, the sound is always delayed by about a second, I have no idea why. It happens is all formats! If anybody has an idea, I would appreciate help.

If not, I suppose I need to seperate the audio and then 'remux' (?) it but need to match up the sound with the video, has anybody any idea what tools I need.
