Is it possible to use W2K drivers on a W98SE machine. I would like to use ATI Windows 2000 drivers for my ATI card. Partly because of MMC 7.0 being available to use with the video driver from ATI. Is it possible to use these drivers on my 98 second edition machine?

I dont think that they offer MMC 7.0 or MMC 7.1 with Windows 98SE. Should I still be able to use it. The card I have now is a ATI all in wonder pro using MMC 5.4 I believe. I brought the card in 1998 based on the RagePro Chip. It has a ATI Mach64 chipset I think...not sure. Should I be able to use MMC 7.0 or MMC 7.1

if you have a ragePro with the BT829 tuner you should probably be able to use MMC 7.1, or if not try MMC 6.3. early versions of the AIW 128 PCI were shipped with this tuner, and it should still be supported at least through 6.3. you can do MPEG capture with it. however, some RagePro boards have older, incompatible tuners.
and MMC7.0 is essentially MMC 6.3 written for NT kernel. 7.1 works on either OS, and is a whole lot less crash-prone than 6.3/7.0 -
Yes you can.... I have used MMC 7.1 on 98... But I couldnt capture the sound right... Hopefully you have better luck!!
