  1. I am looking at purchasing a divx decoder card for my PC.

The only one I can find is by Sigma Designs

    http://www.sigmadesigns.com/products/xcard.htm

Where can I get one from in the UK ?

The PC I am using is an 'old' PIII 450Mhz machine that I have plugged into my main TV which I use to capture programs of Digital TV (using dazzle dvc2 mpeg2 capture card). I have it linked via ethernet into my faster (Athlon 1800) PC which is in another room. I would like to play the divx files from this machine via the ethernet onto my TV and would like to be able to easily Fastforward / rewind , etc using a remote control. I want to use a hardware decoder so that the processor isn't loaded up when I am also recording of TV using my Dazzle capture card.

    Any guidance would be apreciated

Remember that only divx 4.02 and later works...many videos out there are divx 3.11.

  4. Mirror_Image,

I had already looked there but could only find one link to a UK company which only sell to the trade

    Baldrick,

It's a shame it doesn't support 3.11. I had read it in another post. I really want a hardware decoder that will play my mpeg2 files but I might as well buy one that that does Divx as well. Divx is failry new to me so I am still learning the ropesl. I am assuming that it is only older films that would be encoded in 3.11 !! and the new films I have would be OK. I will check them when I get home from work to find out what version they all are.
