  1. I would like to play movies which i have edited on my standalone dvd-player.
I have made this movies for years and always exported them to VHS. However i will not succeed in making a playable movie for mine DVD-player, help me what do i do wrong ?

I have edited my movie as a AVI.
Then i use TMPEnc to convert it to MPEG.
This works because i can view the movie on my pc.

When i burn this movie to a CD-R my dvd player ( Pioneer DV530) doesn´t recognise this and ejects the cd.

What do i have to do to make a playabl+e mpeg, please help

It would be helpful if you state which burning software you are using and which settings you used. Should your burning software not be the problem, you should then also consider checking your own standalone DVD Player in the DVD Player compatibility list on this site. There it should tell you (if your player is listed) if it plays the type of media-file you want it to play i.e. VCD, SVCD etc. Also it should list which type of CD-R's or CD-RW's are compatible with your Player.

  3. Thank you for your quick response, really !

I am using for burning software adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.

My dvd player can use all layers CD-R and CD-RW, so tells the list.

    Can you help me further?

    Thanx

  4. are you using the data option on EZ CD creator 4? I did not think it had a video CD option. If you are just burning the mpg to disk that should not work. Have to burn a video cd. Use Nero, much easier.

You still haven't said what you are trying to make a SVCD a VCD or something different? Unfortunately I don't know EZ Creator therefore cannot assist you in what settings are meant to be chosen, but as "Engineer" said, you have to use a video option (which basically authorises the mpg files for use as a VCD,SVCD etc.) and not a data option. If this is not provided by EZ Creator, I suggest you download and use VCDImagerGUI, which is available in the tools section of this site. This will create a bin and cue file which I am sure even EZ Creator will burn.

Try Nero 5, it is the best VCD creator software.

I paid $59 for EZ CD 4.0 Delux that came with VCD creator, but it does not. Lucky, Adpatec allow me to return software with full refund.
