What exactly does REGDROP do?I never encoutered the name so far with GraphEdit. If you need this for registration of filters, you can use regsrv32 (or something like that).

  3. I am using this guide
    http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/audio-extract.htm

basically it says regdrop is needed to resgister somefiles?

    it says:
Put GraphEdit in a folder somewhere and register all the filters with RegDrop

i am desperately trying to encode my audio so any help would be appreciated.

I have also heard of that other program you mentioned and again i cant find it anywhere all links seem to be dead does anyone have any program which i can use for registering? (and can send to e mail?)

Don't worry, regsvr32 will do this job for you(as I suspected).
    Just call regsvr32 <filter-name> and you're done.
Maybe you need the Audio file filter (this is only as source in the SDK).
It's called wavdest.ax.Mail me, if you need this.
    do this (under cmd)
    regsvr32 wavdest.ax
