I was wondering if there is any difference between burning an MPEG2 as Frame-based or Field-based when you are going to burn to a DVD.
I know that in the past you would encode at Frame-based when you were creating for Computer use only and Field-based when creating for Television viewing.
But since I will be creating DVD's, will it make any difference.
I ask this because my Ulead MSP 6.5 uses their MPEGNow MPEG codec that burns well as frame based but not well as field-based. Others have reported the same findings.
Thanks for the feedback,
Dezine (Michael)
