I have a Divx rip of Vampire Hunter D:Bloodlust.
The file extension is AVI. however when I try to use Virtual Dub to extract the audio it tells me that it is not an AVI file I also have the same problem with all DVxfix and avichop.
I've tried putting it straight into TMPgenc but it takes forever (12 + hrs) to encode 60%.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Lee

well my only suggestion is that you find a friend that have a pentium 4 and use his comp to convert...cuz it seems like only TMGEnc works.

Small bit of advice:
Get yourself a little proggie called GSpot.
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/gspot.html
It will help you identify the audio/video codec of your file (for all you know it s a QIVX for instance...). From there, let us know the results and we can help further. Most likely, you are missing the proper codecs or, more likely, the file itself is corrupted... -
I had a problem with that same file , found out its an ASF file and can not be converted due to microsoft owning the format .
My sudgestion is to look for a diffrent copy to convert . -
