Can anyone please help me, i am trying to watch svcd's on my mac "running OS 9.1 and 10.0" i have downloaded videolan player, but from looking at the forum i see that the only way to use it is to copy the MPEG file to the harddrive in OS 9 and reboot in OS 10.
However the file will not drag to the desktop. I read that the only way is to copy it onto the harddrive with "Astarte" and here is where my problem lies, where can i get a copy of this from as it is no longer available. Please help me this is becoming the vain of my life
P.S. if you know any other way to solve this please feel free to help. It appears strange that such a simple thing as copying a file to the harddisk is so difficult

The latest version of videolan (check on VersionTracker) should be able to play directly from disk, with the "Open disc" command, instead of "Open file".
