Does anyone know of an authoring program that allows 4:3 and 16:9 formats in the same project ?
I have been trying to make an archive copy of Brittany Spears "CrossRoads" DVD which contains both formats.
The movie is 16:9 source (720x480 NO bars), the music videos are 4:3 source (720x480 no bars).
On my 4:3 TV, the Crossroads movie appears nicely with bars top & bottom. When I flag the Music Video's 16:9, they are "streched".
Using DVDiT! PE I have tried re-scaling the 4:3 souce to different sizes with no luck.

Or, you can trick your authoring program to accept the 16:9 format. Use DVDPatcher to change the AR of the 16:9 clip to 4:3, then author as usual, then create a TITLE SET of your final DVD (don't use the program to burn to DVD-R). Then use IFOEdit to change the AR in the .IFO files and DVDPatcher to change the AR in the .VOBs.

Ulead DVD MovieFactory doesn't seem to support 16:9 at all (except by "squishing" the aspect ratio).
DVDiT! PE excepts both formats, but the project must one or the other format, not both.
