  1. Was curious to know of a way to take a movie that has been encoded to 2 VCDs, and compile the movie to fit on one CD. I already have been thru the process of ripping a DVD and formatting it to one CD....(man does it take some time,whew!)....with Smart Ripper and DVDx and TEMPeg. What I'm asking is can I convert my now existing movies down to one? These movies had already been encoded to mpeg format.

  2. Sure, just convert the DAT files to mpg and then join them.

To convert the DATs to mpg:

    "how to - convert"

    To join the mpgs:

    "how to - edit"

If the resulting file is too large for a single CD, you'll likely need to make an XVCD, re-encoding your 1150/224 VCD compliant mpg to a lower CBR bitrate, or better yet, VBR with a min/max/avg that allows the file to fit on the CD. Try Kwag's or Sefy's tmpgenc templates and see what you think.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
