I'm so dejected about VideoPack 5.

VP 4 was such a good product. Cequadrat was such a good company.

    Then Roxio bought it.

Now VP5 is so full of bugs I can't even use it, at least not for DVD authoring. And I actually PAID for it!

    Another question:

Why is it when a software (or hardware) co. sells me a product that dosn't work as advertised, it's got a few bugs (which the company may or may not admit to). I've given them my money, but they haven't given me what they said they would.

But if I somehow obtain the software w/o paying for it, I'm stealing???

    Oh well. Fool me once...

  2. something that I like about those new P2P ,is that you can download any software you want, full, working just perfectly,,,,is a win for the consumers, because, like in your case, they don't care it all about customers, they just want your money, the same happen to me with other company, anyway,if you buy a software and after few month you noticed that is full of bugs, etc, etc,,,or even is not for you,,if you are paying for the
licence to use it,why they don't return your money and you just don't have licence to use it anymore,,,but everything is in their favor,,,,
I am not telling that people should use software without licence, just saying that those P2P thing is a win for the consumers.

Another thing is that some softwares work perfect with a specific hardware
and software configuration, like Adobe has a list of motherboards that works perfect with their Premiere software, but in VideoPack5 case I don't know about how they handle this issue, when they are selling a 500.00 software they should be more responsable with the customers.

  6. I agree with whatever everyone has said about US companies and also about the shitty KaZaa program.

I am located in India (Mumbai) which is a far of place from the US and Europe / Germany. Here you dont have good cable or fibre networks. I use a fibre optic broadband connection and still the speed is always less than 6 kbps. At kazaa the speed is 0.003 or 1 kbps .

I have video pack 4 from Cequadrat (this version came before the bad guys at Roxio bought the company) and winonCd 3.8 BOTH are software beauties. Nero and other software are left behind.

Unfortunately monopoly is the blood of US people. (thats why it is better to pirate software to teach them a lesson) SO both these beauties went down the drain. Since past 8 weeks i am finding the manuals and extensive guides for these programs but in vain.

can someone put up a link or email me ?? It would be of great help

Well, only a very small percentage of the US gets to do this. But don't hold your breath till the big companies learn a lesson, look at the record industry.
    I don't have a bad attitude...
