  1. I have an issue with audio streams. I strip everything but the Dolby AC3 6 channel audio on almost all of my dvd's. The problem is I don't know how to specify in the movie IFO file what type of audio track there is. When I open the IFO file it says:VTS_1 AUDIO 1 English (Dolby AC 3) 6ch 48Kbps DRC.
So obviously there is only one audio track for it because I stripped the rest out. Now when I burn it to a DVD-R it does not play in 6ch surround sound like it is supposed to, it like defaults to regular 2 channel mode. For some reason the IFO file is Not telling it what audio source it has. I need to know if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix the IFO file to tell it what audio format to play.
    Thanks,

  2. If you're stripper per the guides, then there is nothing to set. It's done automatically when the ifo files are created.

  3. Well I know it is supposed to, but it doesn't. It defaults to regular 2ch stereo when I play it in my dvd player. And yes both my DVD & Receiver are Dolby Digital & DTS so that's not an issue either. I'm going to post a question to the author of Ifo Edit and see if he can help me out. Anyone else that wants to take a stab at this are welcome )

  4. I have a similar problem.
After splitting (DVD-9 to 2 DVD-Rs) with Ifoedit .91, my pioneer 525 can not play the ac3 audio, only stereo.

The IFO of the new files shows the 6 channel AC3 file to be there, but after burning i can only play analog audio through my receiver (no sound on Dolby Digital setting)

I used Pioneer RecordNow DX to burn the VIDEO_TS on to an imation dvd-r. The video is perfect, just no AC3 audio.

If anyone can has found a solution to this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
