OK, i'm looking for a dvd player which supports all formats, especially XDVD's..... i wonder if all the people with dvd burners would burn the test sample from this site (http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvd.htm#sample) and see if the vcd and svcd samples play on their standalone dvd players...
Here are the players i've tested so far:
Pioneer 333
XDVD - vcd (no) svcd (half screen)
PAL SVCD - yes
Pioneer 343
XDVD - vcd (no) svcd (half screen)
PAL SVCD - yes
Pioneer 440
XDVD - vcd (yes) svcd (yes)
PAL SVCD - no
Thanks for any feedback
