I have converted an AVI to DVD using tmpenc to get to mpeg 2 then seperating the video and audio files then using ifoedit to author the dvds. when i play it on my dvd player it stutters and stops. when i play it on my psx2 it runs fine.

I have converted SVCD to dvd and it works perfectly on all dvd players.

anyone have any ideas? i thought it might be the resolution of the avi that wont play on a DVD player.
