  1. I have to do a simple VHS-DVD transfer. No menu, no web links, just play the movie back as it is. Will a DVD i author in DVDSP 1.5 play in a PC fine?

There shouldnt be a problem, if you're using a high-quality DVD blank. When you're authoring your disc in DVDSP, make sure the track you made containing your video and audio is set as the startup item. Also, since you arent going to drop in entrypoints for the track, make sure you change the time search function from its default "prohibited" to "permitted." Your end-user will love you for that.

  3. Yeah I think it's more like they would not be impressed if I didn't allow time search. Thanks but I know my way around dvdsp pretty well but just hadn't burnt for a PC. My main concern was that it would play and it does.

Now my concern is the quality. I encoded using QT5 pro after a quick capture in Premiere. The VHS is professional but I didn't expect too high quality transfer. It's not the best quality but I guess I'll maybe increase it as time goes on. It is analogue to DV after all.
