    i can burn a dvd and it will play fine on my home dvd player hooked to the tv but it wont play in my dvd-rom drive on my computer. was just wondering why.it is a ripped dvd.

    Well that brand and model of DVD player...oh, what is the brand and model of your DVD player? Once you have that, click that "DVD Players Compatibility list" link over on left, look up your player, and read the user feedback.
