    Hi there....

    I just tried playing an SVCD disc using my Pioneer DV-440 DVD player... I get amazing audio back but unfortunately the video rolls on the screen... I have tried to check the DVD settings to see if I am missing something, but all looks good. Is anyone else out there having the same problem? If so, any solutions... comments... feedback....???

    I have the same Pioneer and when I play PAL SVCDs the audio is fine but the picture rolls. From what I can tell this model outputs PAL video from PAL sources. If your TV can't accept PAL video then you get wierd video. My LASonic portable can convert the output from PAL to NTSC so everything plays fine. That LASonic is a cool little player.
