I'm sure its just me messing things up in TMPGEnc encoder but i can't get the correct file size i want. I changed both the bitrate on the audio and video to go lower and even changed the estimated filesize to around 230mb and it comes out at 404mb? I made a file that was from a customized template and a standard template and i still end up with the same filesize between them. It as if the program is ignoring the template completely. I would welcome any help this way.

Well, VCD is 1150kbps with 224kbps audio. About 10-10.5MB per minute. If you cut it down more than that, you loose ALOT of quality. If you need files smaller than that, go divx. Its looks pretty good all the way down to 300kbps.

In the 'System' tab where u choose 'Video CD- Automatic' choose 'Video CD Non standard.' Should fix up your oversize problem.

Well i guess i wasn't clear i was making my divx movies into vcds. But does non standard a vcd still work in a dvd player or is that a dvd player issue that depends player to player?
