Hi, I tried to convert .avi to xvcd by using TMPGEnc but it gave me an error when I pointed to the avi file for the video source. The error was: [movie name] can not open, or unsupported. However, when I try to load the audio source it works just fine. Can someone please tell me why is it doing this.
Thanks,

The stream was encoded using an unsupported codec, like Windows Media8. Per M$'s request, developers have removed support for these files. You can try opening it with an older version of Virtualdub and re-encoding it to divx or something. When that's done you can use it in tmpeg. Maybe that will work for you,.
Good Luck
