    I got harts war and have the video but no sound.. i think im missing MS audio codec? Any help is appriciated.

    I also have an AVI file in which the video plays but no audio. Windows Media Player tried to get the audio codec with no luck. I believe I have all codecs including DivX 5.02. Some of the properties of the audio portion include 5 channel stereo, 48000 Hz, unknown compression (tag 2000). It appears there is a new codec, but so far I've also been unable to find it. Can anyone please help?

    I got it working by installing NimoCodec Pack 5.0 which is a pack of a lot of codecs. I doubt i'll have problems with missing codecs for a while You can get it here http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html

    It's probably an ac3 audio if it's 5 channel.

    Do a search for ac3 to wav conversion's if you wish to VCD it....
