  1. I downloaded Korn's "Here To Stay" video, when I look at the properties of it, its in PAL format. It then plays on my DVD player, but its in black and white. On the computer though, its in color and looks fine. Unless I can convert it to NTSC format, I dont know what I'm to do.

If you know what PAL format is or what it stands for then please reply to this.

  2. PAL is a format like NTSC. NTSC is mainly american while PAL is used I believe in the UK and Asia. You could try just to reencode it into ntsc. My player (Apex AD-660) works perfect with either.

Load it into TMPGEnc, then load a NTSC VCD template, this will convert it to NTSC. Sounds like your TV/DVD player wont play PAL, so you need to convert to NTSC.

    The PC will play both

    Video-CD PAL (MPEG-1 352x288 25fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)

    Video-CD NTSC (MPEG-1 352x240 29.97fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)
