Use laptop as Karaoke machine

Anybody knows there is a piece of software which we can sing along (into laptop microphone) WITH VOICE EFFECT while the video/audio clip is either played thru Window Media player or VCD thru Power DVD. I can do it now with current standard laptop set up but kind of bore since no voice effect. It's really neat to have an option to carry your portable Karaoke machine around along with those music karaoke VCD CDR. More, you can plug the line out of your laptop into your car stereo system, it's great for long distance travel.
