  1. I've searched this forum for the past hour in hopes of getting an answer, so i figured i'd post my problem myself. I just got my 104 today, and i have it installed as master on my secondary IDE channel. WinXP sees it fine, but Primo gives me "No Compatible Recorder Drives have been found in this Computer". Can someone please help?!? I'm desperate!!!

What does device mgr. call it?
Do you have another drive on that controller?
Does it show up in Prassi at all?

It's on the end of the cable, not the middle, right?

The blue end of the IDE cable is connected to the motherboard?

Try making it the ONLY drive on the chain, Master or Cable Select....

  4. Got same problem. My pioneer A04 was installed by the company that I bought it from. Nero and ulead dvd movie factory work fine and recognise the dvd writer. I installed primo on my secondary hard drive same as ulead but it will not recognise it as a writer but it will when you put a disc in it will recognise it as a drive to read from. Your help would be very appreciated . Apologies if the questions are stupid or the answers obvious but I am clueless.

    thanks

If you are getting an -27236 error make sure that your ASPI are install and used correctly see http://aspi.radified.com for information. Also change your drive from a master to a slave and turn off the autoinsert on the drive. I had to do these with my Pioneer AO3 drive. Hope this helps.
