    I tried using tmpgenc, but it will not let me download. I am downloading
    movies off of Kazaa. I downloaded Virtual Dub to covert the movies.
    When I go to open the first half of the movie. A window pops up and says
    cannot locate decompressor for format MP43(Microsoft Highspeed MPEG-4
    v3) Vitual Dub requires a video for windows compatible to Decompress
    video. Is there something I need to download or something else that will
    convert my movies besides these two ways.

    What are you trying to convert , divx - VCD.

    Virtualdub is not an mpeg encoder, you need to download TMPGEnc and use that to make your mpegs, so try downloading it again. If you are having codec problems try downloading the nimo codec pack, that should have the codecs you need.
