  1. ok, i've searched the forums and found two references to making this vcd/svcd but they were not much help for me. so i am posting it again.
here is how i plan to do this and i ould liek some feedback if i am doing anything wrong or how it can be made better.
    1) rip wizard fo oz from dvd.
    2) use dark side cd (not sure how to get it all together when ripping that to mp3, any pointers?)
    merge in temgenc.
    3) but how to get both audios on there both the soundtrack to movie and dark side album. does tempgenc have audio in 1 and audio in2?
any other help woul dbe much appreciated.
    thanks in advance.

  2. Okay, I am no expert but programs like Adobe Premiere will allow you to import several Audio and Video files and "layer" them. That is pretty much what you need to do here.

You need to import both Audio files (WAV format) and then crop the "Dark Side" audio so it is the same length. You may want to add a fade at the end of "Dark Side" so it sounds better. Then you can import the video and output one stream that can be converted to VCD.

There are other Audio only programs that can do this as well.

Like I said, I'm no expert so I can't give you step by step instructions but that is the general gist of what needs to be done.

    Good Luck!

  3. but isn't the movie longer than the album? why woul di want to crop (make shorter) when i need it to be longer? or does the album only go thru part of the movie? i've never actually watched it this way so i'm not sure.

Sorry about that... you are talking to one of the few who has never experienced "The Dark Side of the Rainbow".

In this case, you don't need to worry about the length of the Pink Floyd portion (assuming it truly is shorter). The rules of the game are set... start the music at this exact moment and that is it. You don't want to do much more unless you just feel it justified.

So, in this case, simply load both WAVs into a program such as Premiere and you should be able to sync up the Pink Floyd music at the right spot and output a single file as suggested in my post above.

  7. Make sure to rip "Darkside of the Moon" as one WAV (not separate tracks) and either set or normalize the volume to about 75% or whatever level you find acceptable to allow the dialog to be heard clearly from "Wizard of Oz".
