I installed VCDEasy and it said NO CD WRITER FOUND OR ASPI DRIVER PROBLEMS. I followed the guide from VCDEasy on how to install and check ASPI drivers and downloaded the Force ASPI 1.7 program. According to those directions I am to DUMPASPI.BAT in order to backup my current configuration. But I get a message that ASPIENUM.VDX files does not exist and backup is not possible. Then I am to INSTASPI.BAT to install a new layer. Then I get a registry error that says "Cannot import Win9x\Win9x.reg:Error opening the file. There may be a disk or file system error." So I reboot my computer like told and then I run the aspichk.exe program to check if everything is running ok. That reads ASPI is not properly installed. One or more components have been replaced with older versions of the software. And I still cant get VCDEasy to recognize my CD writer drive. Do you have any suggestions? Should I use a different VCD writer program? I'm open to anything.
