  1. ok... first off I have XP Pro, ATI TV Wonder (WMD) 1900XP 512DDR333. I didnt install the ati software... just the drivers.

I have Big dish analog satallite system. what would be the best res to capture in and how would I get that res with ATI and WMD.

I have been useing powervcrii and cap at mpeg2 720x480 9.5MB I-frames only. then I open with dvd2avi and save project, open project in fitcd, creat avs 352x480 or 480x480, open avs in cce2.5 and do 3-4 pass vbr usually not below 1900 avg. is there a problem with I-frames only on capture.... I don't notice any... but I thought I would ask.

I would like to try and cap avi... but when I do I notice interlaced comb lines. what should I do to NOT get this... or is this the best I can do. I have tried avi_io, virtualvcr, virtualdub and iuvcr. some are better than others at getting a highter res but I must be missing somthing.

please take it easy on me... this is my first capture card I have read much in the past 3 months I have had it... but can't seem to do better that what I do now.

    thank you for any help.
    peace,

    IgGy :D
