  1. Hi,
for some reason lately I have been burning vcd's with Nero 5.5. Now It works great but I have a few problems. Whenever I try to make a vcd and start the burn process, around 10-20% it stops and says "this is not a cdr"-"overlap attempted but has failed". Now I have used Nero many times and those of you that have also know that when Nero makes a coaster whatever data is on it will work. So its not totally bad. Well anyway I pop in the vcd coasters i just made and they work extreemly well until the data stops. Now can someone help me out with getting nero to work right?

    Sorry for the long post.

The reason why Nero stopped could be due to many problems. You could have a faulty disc - press on the CD-Information button before actually burning. Have you another burning software on your system? If so uninstall it, should you wish to continue using Nero. Better still re-install Nero.
Your burning settings for your PC, CD-R(W) could be too high - try lowering them. Check your settings in Nero i.e. DAO, (if offered via your drive) burn proofing, the correct CD Writer is being used (here you should also check that your drivers/firmware are up to date).

  3. Ok thanks for the reply. I already did all the things you said before I got to read your help. Although it still isnt burning right. so I plan to just use an ext.-zip drive and move all the stuff to a different computer to burn.
    Ok thanks
