which program are you using to examine the VOBS and extract the subs?
The subtitles on DVDs are multiplexed into the VOBs, not stored seperately... you need a sub ripper to extract them.
I use SUBRIP, personally. The OCR is a bit grumpy, IMNSHO, but it gets the job done.
This program can export either the subtitle BMPs or dump the OCR data to various text script formats such as MICRODVD, SUBSTATION ALPHA, and my old fave for sutitling, circa around 1990 originaly, JACOSUB for the Commodore Amiga (!) .
Dumping to script is my personal preferred means, since I inline the subs later using SSA's VIRTUALDUB plug. -
right now i'm using dvd extractor or yade to extract the movies files. will those work or do i need something else?
where do i get the software that you speak of?
i have some anime and foriegn films i would really like the subtitles for.
thanx
