  1. I was poking around my XP system and was looking at the resources my hardware is using.

When I go to look at the ATI video capture device in Device Manager, every time I click on the resource tab my system crashes to a blue screen and stops.

The stop message just shows a bunch of binary numbers.

Has anyone else had this issue?

    Dev: Nope. No troubles here.

Go to ATI's website and downlolad the newest mmc. 7.6.0.1b I believe it is. It used to be "a" but they quietly switched versions without letting anyone know. Anyhow.

Run the exe so you can extract the drivers. Take note of the folder you are extracting them to! Once extracted, cancel out of the installation and go into your controlpanel/system and select the Hardware tab and hit the DEVICE MANAGER button.

Scroll down to the SOUND,VIDEO and GAME CONTROLLERS tab and open it up . You should see 4-ATI TV WONDER entries.

Right click on each one and select update driver. Select INSTALL FROM A LIST.... then select the INCLUDE this LOCATION.. option and browse to the folder you extracted the new drivers to. ( the same folder you selected when you ran the tvw-pci-ve-mmc-7-6-0-1b.exe file from ATI's site).

Do that for each entry and always point to the folder. DO NOT chose the SELECT THE BEST DRIVER option at any time. When you are all done, reboot and you should see all 5 ati tv wonder items in your sound area in the Device manager.

I did this this afternoon and I know have sound when capturing from composite and svhs plugs!! Even IUVCR works liek a dream now!

    Hope some of this helps.
