I have being try to get better quality of my home video into SVCD or VCD. Both VCD and SVCD have alot of pauses and vcd was very fussy. The picture quality of SVCD is good enough but pauses every 3 seconds or so. How do I fix this? I capture using Pinnacle Studio 7 through firewall to my digital camcorder. I capture fully quality with 0 frame drops. Once capture, I then convert to MPEG2 (SVCD compatible). After that I write to my CD-R through Nero 5.5.
My computer is 1.5 GHZ, 512 mb ram and 80 G hardrive. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,

Are you converting with pinnacle? If so try TMPGEnc. www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm
