  1. Hi,
I've been playing around with my mac's superdrive and dvd studio pro, but i just can't seem to burn a finished dvd. The option to burn the dvd is greyed out in dvd studio, and toast doesnt give me an option to burn dvds either just vcds. I can build my project onto my hd with no problems, but without being able to burn to disc it doesnt really help. I know the superdrive is being recognised as I have successfully burned a dvd with iDVD, and toast is recognising the drive as a pioneer 104 dvd-r. Has any one else had this problem, or is my n00bience causing me to miss something fundimantal here? either way its frustrating

  2. In DVDSP, are you choosing "Build and format" to burn? about Toast, you need the Titanium version which include DVD burning.

  3. yeah, i have the titanium version of toast, i bought it specifically for dvd support. the help file says there should be a dvd option under 'other' but theres only video cd. as for DVDSP, the build and format button is greyed out

  4. Toast Titanium 5.1.1 for OSX definitely has a DVD option
Maybe are you using some lite version?

When you make the DVD on the HD, a solution for now is to make a disc image of it, and then burn the image onto the DVD (the os x disc utility has an option for burn disc). Then you will be ok.

  6. hehe solved it, it was my n00bience ....
i still cant get dvdsp to let me build and format, only build, but i found there was and odd popup submenu in toast which allowed me to burn files from my hd to dvd, which i can honestly say works great
OSXs built in burning utility wont burn the dvd as the right format for dvd video, or if it does i cant find out how to do it. Thanks anyway for all your help guys ! (i love this forum )
