I wish to encode DV from now on using the CVD spec's. This is primarily because I'm looking towards the future in backing up multiple DVDs upon a single DVD-R (I'm a poor bastard and I can't afford a DVD burner now)![]()
However prior to commiting to this standard I decided to test my samples with the DVD standard, by attempting to insert an MPEG2 into ULEAD DVD movieFactory for authoring.
This however fails.
In TMPGEnc I'm using the following PAL settings:
* SVCD Pal TMPGEnc Template
* Resolution: 352x576
* Audio: 48k
* 2-pass VBR, AVG 2100
* Max No. of frames in a GOP limited to 18
* No. of P pictures in a GOP -> 4
I downloaded VHELP's sample (NTSC CVD): http://www.westnet.com/~vhelp/0621.1.sat-to-atw.cvd.rar to confirm I was approaching this in the correct manner to find that movieFactory successfully reckonises it as a valid DVD compatible CVD.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Arnnie
